Audition Notice
March 3-13, 2011 Book by Richard Henry Morris and Dick Scanlan. Music by Jeanine Tesori. Lyrics by Dick Scanlan. This youth version of the 2002 Tony Award winning musical comedy tells the story of Kansas native Millie Dillmont who has just moved to New York City in search of a new life for herself. It’s New York in the 1920’s, full intrigue and jazz, frisky flappers, dashing leading men, and a dragon-lady of a villainess everyone will love to hate. Full of madcap merriment, this high spirited musical will have everyone dancing the Charleston.
Auditions: Monday, January 17 or Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 7:00 p.m.
Callbacks will be Wednesday, January 19 at 7:00 p.m.
Please prepare a one minute vocal selection and bring sheet music. An accompanist will be provided.
Must be 18 or under
Production dates: March 3-13, 2011
Two days of special daytime performances for area school children will be presented requiring ALL cast members to miss school on Tuesday, March 8 and Wednesday, March 9.)
