That’s What Friends Are For Camp, with the support of Camp Barnabas, is a four-day musical theatre workshop created to provide access for children, youth, and young adults with special needs to a quality theatre education experience.
Participating young artists with special needs will be joined in class by their new Springfield Little Theatre “buddies”—teenagers and young adults who have applied to work with them side-by-side and guide them through each activity, including theatre games, music exploration, creative movement, poetry, art, and musical theatre performance.
Enrollment is limited to 32 participants, ages 8 and up, who will be divided into groupings of 8 during specialized periods of instruction.
A performance for friends and family will be held at the conclusion of camp on Friday, May 29 at 11:00 am.
