Youthfest Talent Showcase is a Variety Show FUNDRAISER for the SLT scholarship program!
Thank you so much for contributing to the SLT Scholarship Fund by entering the showcase, and good luck on your audition! There will be one scholarship awarded to a junior or senior in high school the evening of Youthfest based on his/her performance in the Talent Showcase! Other monies raised go directly into scholarships for graduating seniors who have in some way contributed to Springfield Little Theatre either on a performance or technical level.
There is an individual entrant fee of $15 that must accompany your Audition Form. Please make checks payable to Springfield Little Theatre. Please have your Audition Form completed and in hand at auditions if you have not mailed it in advance.
AUDITIONS: Auditions will be held Sunday, January 9 starting at 1:00 p.m. Please call Lorianne Dunn at 869-3869 x21 to sign up for an audition time. Auditions will be held at the Landers Theatre, 311 East Walnut, Springfield, MO and you will be evaluated by a non-partial guest panel of judges. Please wear performance attire~your picture will be taken on this day to use in the program should you be cast in the showcase. (If selected to perform in the showcase, we reserve the right to ask you to edit your piece for content or time if necessary.) Be prepared to present the exact selection that you would like to have considered to be slotted into the showcase. Please plan to bring your own piano accompanist or accompaniment cd if you will require one for your performance. If you are using a cd, please bring a copy that the theatre will keep to burn onto a master in the event that you are cast in the showcase.
The cast list will be posted on the doors of the Landers Theatre by noon, Monday, January 10 and on our website at www. springfieldlittletheatre.org. We will be casting about 20 acts. If you are cast, we congratulate you now! Please mark your calendars for the following very important dates:
Monday, February 7, 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.—Dress Rehearsal
~This rehearsal is closed and non-negotiable. Please wear performance attire.
Tuesday, February 8, 6:00 call, 7:30 curtain—YOUTHFEST TALENT SHOWCASE
