Youth Performance Troupes

Home SLT Education Department Youth Performance Troupes

Springfield Little Theatre Education Department facilitates numerous youth performance troupe ensembles featuring students in grades 2-12. In addition to performing at the historic Landers Theatre, our troupers mentor young children in our educational programs, act as leaders in multiple areas of school and community and entertain at our special events and at special events in the community.

Traits that are instilled in troupers through their training at SLT include responsibility, accountability, dependability, teamwork, determination and confidence, among many others. All characteristics that help to prepare these students to be future leaders in whatever endeavors they pursue.

Community Performances

Our troupes are available to entertain at your next event – large or small – and can custom-design the right experience for you whether your event is corporate, private, or community-based. Our troupers are multi-talented and often face paint, provide photo booths, appear as costumed characters, serve as energetic and respectful volunteers, and more!

To book these groups, please contact our Education Department at (417) 413-2287.

Become a Trouper

Youth Performance Troupe Auditions are held annually and each ensemble works together for the entirety of our season. Troupe involvement offers a stimulating and fast-paced rehearsal environment, a sense of belonging, an investment in the community, discounts on our classes, internship opportunities, and college/career guidance from our caring and experienced staff.

For the serious student aspiring for a career in theatre, our troupes function as a formal training program, a springboard, a home base, and a support network.
