After years of homeschooling, Cady Heron enters public high school and quickly discovers that popularity has its own rules. When she is welcomed into the world of the Plastics — the most powerful clique in school — Cady gets caught between who she is, who she wants to be, and how far she is willing to go to fit in. As friendships are tested and reputations rise and fall, Cady must find the courage to stand up, stand out, and be herself.
