President of the U.S. Radium Corporation. Not a cartoon villain but a man who convinces himself, piece by piece, that he bears no blame.

Youthfest Talent Showcase is a Variety Show FUNDRAISER for the SLT scholarship program, featuring performers ages 12-18! There will be ONE $500 check awarded to a junior or senior in high school the evening of Youthfest based on his/her performance in the Talent Showcase (evaluated by area arts professionals)! Other monies raised go directly into scholarships for graduating senior applicants who have in some way contributed to Springfield Little Theatre either on a performance or technical level.
There is an individual entrant fee of $25 that must accompany a Youthfest Talent Showcase Audition Form. Please make checks payable to Springfield Little Theatre. Please have your Audition Form completed and in hand at auditions OR have completed registration online in advance.
Auditions will be held at The Judith Enyeart Reynolds School of the Performing Arts for Springfield Little Theatre. Please wear performance attire~your picture will be taken on this day to use in the program should you be cast in the showcase. (If selected to perform, we reserve the right to ask you to edit your piece for appropriateness of dress, content or time if necessary.) Be prepared to present the exact selection that you would like to have considered to be slotted into the showcase. Unless you will be accompanying yourself, please plan to perform with an accompaniment track.

DENNIS

Plays John Darling. Unable to remember a single line, he receives his dialogue through a headset — with predictably disastrous results.

Plays Nana the dog and the pirate Starkey. Blustering and territorial, convinced he is the true talent of the company.

All 37 of Shakespeare’s plays in one wild, fast-paced comedy — performed by a small company of actors playing themselves (and everyone else). Every performer plays many roles, from Hamlet to Titus to the entire history cycle at football-game speed.
We are looking for fearless comedic performers with quick wits, strong physical comedy, and the willingness to improvise, break the fourth wall, and occasionally wear a very bad wig. No Shakespeare experience required — enthusiasm essential.

The Education Series at Springfield Little Theatre produces shows that are designed to inspire and engage the youth and families in our community.
