Rachel Jamieson teaches Creative Dramatics and Text Analysis at The Judy and is a longtime instructor with Springfield Little Theatre Academy. She also teaches with Missouri State University and the Missouri Alliance for Arts Education.

Rachel holds an MFA in Actor Training & Coaching from The Royal Central School of Speech & Drama in London and an MA in Educational Theatre in Colleges & Communities from New York University. Throughout her career, she has performed, directed, stage managed, and taught students of all ages in Chicago, New York, London, Cork, Ireland, and throughout the Ozarks.

Recent directing credits include THE LARAMIE PROJECT with High Tide Theatrical, ROE with Springfield Contemporary Theatre, SHREK: THE MUSICAL at Welk Resort Theatre, and LILY PLANTS A GARDEN with Springfield Little Theatre. Her recent performance work includes a touring production of THE MILLY PROJECT, which has traveled throughout Missouri.

Rachel has also held leadership positions with the Illinois Theatre Association and the American Alliance for Theatre & Education and currently serves on the board of the Springfield/Southwest Missouri chapter of PFLAG.

In the classroom, Rachel loves helping students become curious, thoughtful, and confident theatre makers—whether they are discovering the joy of imaginative play or digging deeply into a script to understand how and why it works. Outside the theatre, she enjoys traveling, reading, yoga, birdwatching, museums, live music, dance, great food, and spending time with her husband, Ryan, and their three cats.
