Springfield Little Theatre exists to create the magic of live theatre — to empower, inspire, and connect us all.
We’re in the stories that unfold on stage. We’re in every light cue, every set piece, every note of music. We’re in the first nervous step a child takes in brand-new tap shoes. We’re in the lifelong friendships that begin on the first day of rehearsal. We’re in the smiles, laughter, and tears of each audience member, and in the conversations that follow on the car ride home.
We’re not just in our community — we are our community. The moments, emotions, and relationships born from the shared experience of live theatre live on in all of us. That’s the magic. That’s Springfield Little Theatre.
Founded in 1934 with a student-led production at Central High School, Springfield Little Theatre has grown into the region’s largest civic theatre. Now entering our ninth decade, we produce roughly eight mainstage productions each season on the historic Landers Theatre stage, while our thriving Education Department calls The Judith Enyeart Reynolds School of the Performing Arts its home — offering classes, workshops, performance opportunities, and arts outreach for all ages.
