Tap Dancing Workshops with Chyrel Love Miller

Get ready to make some noise! 

Springfield Little Theatre is excited to offer four skill-building Tap Dancing Workshops led by grand-dame Chyrel Love Miller, who will be steering the ship for ANYTHING GOES, the closing ta-da of our 2025-2026 Landers mainstage season! 

Whether you’re new to tap or looking to sharpen your skills, these workshops offer something for you: 

  • First Half: Beginner Level Perfect for newcomers! Learn foundational tap steps, terminology, and rhythm basics in a supportive and fun environment. 
  • Second Half: Experienced Dancers Dive deeper into combinations, style, and performance flair. 

Experienced dancers are invited to attend the full workshop, starting with the beginner session to warm up and refine their fundamentals. Beginners are welcome to stay for the entire workshop and challenge themselves alongside more advanced dancers. 

Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to dance, grow, and/or prepare for auditions for the show!

SUMMER INTENSIVE CAMP:  
DANCE INTENSIVE

Springfield Little Theatre’s Summer Dance Intensive is a four-day dance conservatory available to disciplined middle school, high school, and college-age students with previous dance training.

Under the direction of industry professionals, dedicated students will take part in inspiring master classes in various forms of dance and wellness, such as: Ballet, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Tap, Modern, Commercial, Worship, Character, Social, Improvisational, Composition, Goal-Setting, Yoga, Meditation, Nutrition, and Injury Prevention.

MONDAY – THURSDAY, JUNE 10–13
9:00 A.M.– 4:00 P.M.
AGES: 12+
TUITION: $175

The SLT Summer Dance Intensive will be held at the SLT Education Facility, 237 South Florence Ave. and The Landers Theatre Rehearsal Studios, 311 East Walnut.  Students will report to the SLT Education Facility first thing each morning and parents can plan pick-up there as well.  Transportation between the two facilities will be provided by the SLT Education Staff.

2 snacks a day included
(25% Sibling Discount available after registering a first child at full price.  15% Discount available for a current or incoming SLT Pre-Professional Track student.  Please contact an SLT Education Registrar to register at a discounted rate.)
