ABOUT SHOUT!
SHOUT! The Mod Musical is an irresistible blend of hip-swiveling hits, eye-popping fashions, and outrageous dance moves, SHOUT! The Mod Musical takes audiences back to the music, style, and freedom of the 1960s. Featuring terrific new arrangements of “These Boots Are Made for Walkin’”, “I Only Want to Be with You”, “Son of a Preacher Man”, “Downtown”, and many more powerhouse performances.

CALLIE ALTEPETER – Yellow Girl

Callie Altepeter makes her Springfield debut as the Yellow Girl in SHOUT! The Mod Musical. She is currently a senior BFA Musical Theatre student at Missouri State University, where she also studies marketing. Even though she’s new to the Springfield theatre scene, Callie has extensive performance experience. In fact, you may have heard her voice acting and singing talents on MTI show recordings, Disney, FX Television, and CMT. She also recently worked with the Born This Way Foundation on the new musical Sticks and Stones. Callie would like to thank her family, the Green Girl and the skinnies, as well as Robert Westenberg, Paula Patterson, Zipporah Peddle, and as always, Boo and Sully Altepeter.

ARYN BOHANNON – Red Girl

Aryn Bohannon will graduate this semester from Boston Conservatory at Berklee College of Music as a musical theatre major, and she’s thrilled to be back on her home stage in this production. Her past favorite roles have been the title role in Peter Pan, Heather Chandler in Heathers, Cathy in The Last Five Years and Lucy in Jekyll & Hyde. She would like to thank her family and friends for their constant love and support, and Josh, Rob, and Parker for this wonderful opportunity.

Most embarrassing moment you’ve had on stage?
My pants dropped to my ankles in a frozen pose as the curtain VERY slowly went down to end act one.
EMMA ELLIOTT – Swing
Emma Elliott has appeared in numerous Springfield Little Theatre productions including Cabaret, West Side Story, Mamma Mia!, Hello, Dolly, and more. When she’s not on stage at the Landers, Emma is a professional commercial actor and model working all over the Midwest. She is ecstatic to be performing in a show that takes place during her favorite decade and in her favorite country (She thinks. she hasn’t been there…yet). She likes to spend her time eating good food and playing games with her family, watching The Office, making TikToks @emma.elliott.official and being a party princess for Princesses of the 417! Emma thanks her family, friends, and work for sharing their time with her which allows her to be in the theatre that she’s loved for so long. She’d also like to thank Parker, Josh, and Rob for casting her in such a fun show!

The fun music and directing team!
TARYN JENNIFER HUFFMAN – Swing
Taryn is over the moon to be performing in her first show with Springfield Little Theatre! She is a Columbus, Ohio native who moved to Missouri for school in 2019. She is a Sophomore at Missouri State University where she is currently double majoring – studying musical theatre and stage management with a dance minor. Most recently, Taryn was in Evangel University’s short film Out of My Mind. Some of her favorite credits include: Mopsa (Head Over Heels), Tilly Evans (She Kills Monsters), Johanna (Sweeney Todd), Mina (Dracula), Liz Morden (Our Country’s Good) and Mrs. Banks (Mary Poppins). “Have courage and be kind.” @taryn.jennifer.huffman

AUSTEN McGRANAHAN – Blue Girl

Austen is thankful to return to the Landers stage. Previously a member of SLT’s YES Troupe, SHOUT! marks Austen’s 20th production at SLT! Some of her favorite roles include Ariel in Footloose, Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and a Delta Nu in Legally Blonde. After attending The University of Missouri – Mizzou to obtain her Bachelor in Nursing Science, Austen returned to Springfield to further her love of nursing. When not performing, Austen enjoys spending time with her loved ones and belting Dolly Parton to her dog, Truman. Austen would like to thank her family and friends for their love and support, as well as the Direction and Technical teams of SHOUT! for working to keep everyone safe during the performances.

What will surprise people about this show?
Everyone knows the music of the show, but they’ll be surprised by each of these characters’ journeys along the way. The stories of these women’s lives will be more than people are expecting from a “jukebox” musical.
Most embarrassing moment you’ve had on stage?
When I got stuck to my dance partners costume and had an asthma attack while belly dancing on stage.

EMMA PUERTA – Green Girl

Emma Puerta is a soon-to-be graduate of MSU studying biomedical science and music. She spends her time off the stage teaching tap & private voice, working, and drinking gallons of coffee. Originally from Nashville, TN, Emma grew up training and performing in regional theatre productions throughout middle Tennessee. Some of her favorite credits include Heather Chandler (Heathers The Musical), Princess Fiona (Shrek The Musical), Belle (Beauty and the Beast), and Chloe (Be More Chill). You may have recently seen her in SLT’s production of Clue The Musical. Emma’s voice can be heard on albums produced by Music Theatre International and Disney in shows such as Chicago (as Annie), Cinderella (as a Stepsister), and more! She can also be seen in SLT’s upcoming production of Matilda portraying the long-awaited role of Miss Honey! Emma has loved every minute of her time with SLT and is beyond thankful to be a part of this swingin’ cast. She would like to thank Mom & Dad (plus the whole gang) and her BFF – Yellow Girl!

ASHLEY ROSE SMITH – Orange Girl

Ashley is thrilled to return to her home on the SLT stage after being away for 8 years. She is currently a singer for Princess Cruises and Dean Z, and has spent many years performing in Branson and touring around the US in several shows. She is excited to have the opportunity to work with one of her best friends, Josh Inmon, who she met 18 years ago right here at SLT!
