Chuck retired from his longtime role as Resident Scenic Designer and Co-Technical Director at Springfield Little Theatre after a remarkable 40-year career at the historic Landers Theatre. During that time, he designed more than 300 SLT productions and helped shape the visual world of generations of shows and artists.

Beyond SLT, Chuck’s design and production work has included projects with Drury University, Springfield Ballet, Ozarks Lyric Opera, Missouri State University’s Tent Theatre, television productions, and Branson entertainment venues. He also served as Production Manager for Theatre Baton Rouge in Louisiana.

Chuck has remained deeply involved with the Springfield Little Theatre Education Department through summer intensives and Academy instruction, sharing his knowledge of scenic design, technical theatre, and production with young artists interested in pursuing work behind the scenes. He also recently directed HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 2 JR. for the SLT Youth Entertainment Series.

In 2019, Chuck received the Individual Artist Ozzie Award in recognition of his contributions to theatre in the Springfield area. He continues to enjoy passing along the craftsmanship, problem-solving, and collaboration that make theatrical production possible.
