Kelle Long teaches Playwriting at The Judy and is a playwright and entertainment reporter whose work has appeared in The Credits, BroadwayWorld, and Springfield Little Theatre publications.

Before turning her focus toward creative writing, Kelle worked in communications with the Motion Picture Association and NBC in Washington, D.C. As an entertainment journalist, she has profiled Academy Award and Emmy Award winners and moderated film and television panels, including appearances at New York Comic Con.

Kelle’s debut play, PARENTAL GUIDANCE SUGGESTED, received a table read led by Lucas Grabeel of HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL and was later developed through a workshop directed by Beth Domann at Springfield Little Theatre. She is also a member of the Dramatists Guild.

Kelle loves helping young writers discover what makes a story work—from developing characters and dialogue to finding the confidence to put an original idea on the page. She is excited to encourage the next generation of storytellers at SLT Academy.
