Laura Frost is a Youth Programs Specialist with the Springfield Little Theatre Education Department, where she serves as Director of Elementary Troupe, Co-Director of Teen Players, and Director of the SLT on Wheels program.

Laura’s own SLT story began more than 15 years ago when she attended her first School’s Out Workshop at age 11. Since then, she has remained deeply involved with Springfield Little Theatre as a performer, instructor, choreographer, and director. She has appeared in more than 15 SLT productions, with JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT among her favorites.

Laura earned a Bachelor of Science in Speech and Theatre Education from Missouri State University in 2021, along with certification in Secondary English Education. She began working with SLT Education while still in college and joined the full-time staff in 2022.

As a director, Laura has led numerous Education Department productions and co-directed the Landers mainstage production of DISNEY’S FROZEN in 2025. One of her proudest directing experiences was YOU’RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN at The Judy.

Having grown up in SLT classrooms and rehearsal rooms herself, Laura understands firsthand the lasting impact theatre education can have. Her goal is to give every student who walks through the doors of The Judy strong theatrical skills, greater confidence, and tools they can carry with them wherever their path leads.
