Beth Domann
Beth Domann serves as Executive Director of Springfield Little Theatre, guiding the organization’s artistic vision and overseeing the productions that bring the historic Landers Theatre to life. Working alongside SLT’s staff, board, and volunteers, she is dedicated to producing exceptional community-created theatre while creating opportunities for people to discover their talents, find their voices, and grow in confidence.
Beth’s connection to Springfield Little Theatre began in 1978, when she first appeared on the Landers stage. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in theatre with an emphasis in directing from Stephens College and joined SLT’s staff as Education Director in 1996. She later served as Artistic Director before assuming her current leadership role, bringing a firsthand understanding of the organization’s work both onstage and behind the scenes.
An actress, director, and stand-up comedian, Beth’s career extends beyond the Landers stage to film, professional entertainment, and community events. Her credits include an appearance in the Academy Award-nominated film Winter’s Bone and directing work for the Jim Stafford Theatre and Yakov Smirnoff. At SLT, her directing credits include NEWSIES, ANNE, THE WIZARD OF OZ, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, and THE FULL MONTY, among many others. In 2025, Beth returned to the Landers spotlight with her one-woman comedy show, I GET A KICK OUT OF YOU, which received the BroadwayWorld Kansas City Award for Best Cabaret/Concert/Solo Performance (Non-Professional).
A dedicated advocate for arts education and community participation, Beth has helped expand SLT’s programming and strengthen the partnerships that sustain its work. She is a recipient of the American Association of Community Theatre’s Distinguished Merit Award, recognizing contributions that advance the highest standards of community theatre.
Beth also hosts Off Book with Beth, a podcast introducing audiences to the people and stories behind Springfield Little Theatre. Through every aspect of her work, she remains grateful to the staff, board, volunteers, artists, students, families, and supporters whose generosity of time, talent, and resources makes each season possible.
