Bonnie Johnson
Bonnie joins the Springfield Little Theatre staff as Costume Designer, bringing more than a decade of experience in theatrical costuming, design, and education. Originally from Joplin, Missouri, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Missouri Southern State University and has spent the past 12 years designing for theatres throughout the Joplin area.
Before joining SLT, Bonnie also spent three years teaching costume-related courses at Missouri Southern State University, sharing her knowledge of design and construction with the next generation of theatre artists. That combination of professional design work and classroom experience has given her a deep appreciation for both the artistry and collaboration that go into bringing a production to life.
Theatre and costuming have been an important part of Bonnie’s life since childhood, and she is excited to begin a new chapter at Springfield Little Theatre. She looks forward to getting to know the artists, volunteers, students, and staff who make SLT such a vibrant creative community and to contributing her own creativity to the work happening onstage.
Bonnie is grateful for the opportunity to make Springfield Little Theatre her new artistic home and is excited to see what the years ahead will bring.
