Springfield Little Theatre Announces 2025-2026 Board of Directors

Springfield Little Theatre is proud to announce its 2025–2026 Board of Directors, a dynamic and community-driven group of leaders who will help guide the organization through SEASON 91 at the historic Landers Theatre.
Christine Temple, of Springfield Business Journal, will serve as this year’s Board President. Joining her on the Executive Committee are Seth Swafford of Palen Music Center as Vice President, John Davis of Forvis Mazars as Treasurer, Wade Shelton of APO Community Health Center as Secretary, and Emily Reese of Forvis Mazars as an Executive Member.
Returning board members include: Nancy Evans (Keller Williams), Meredith Roberts (AECI), Jennifer Russell (Great Southern Bank), Lauren Shantz (Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce), Syd Tippie (Federal Bureau of Prisons), Katie Tonarely (AFLAC), and Marissa Weaver (Volt Credit Union).
Springfield Little Theatre is also pleased to welcome several new members to the board this season: Gabby Catlin (Missouri State University), Layne Hunton (Throughline Architecture), Alec Martinez (Spencer Fane), Karen Shannon (HR Consultant), and Brandon Wall (Nabholz Construction).
Corey Kilburn of RoundTable Legal will serve as Immediate Past President. Additionally, Mark Gideon, former Springfield Public Schools educator, will represent The Guild of Springfield Little Theatre, and Kaleb Paterson, Central High School, will serve as the Associate Board President.
As the organization steps into a bold new chapter following its 90th EMERALD ANNIVERSARY SEASON, the Board of Directors is excited to launch a “10 to 100” Strategic Plan—aimed at strengthening the theatre’s long-term sustainability and impact as it looks ahead to its centennial celebration in 2034.
This season promises big stories, brighter lights, and unforgettable experiences. Highlights include beloved family musicals like ANNIE and Disney’s FROZEN, the thrilling regional premiere of COME FROM AWAY, and the chilling masterpiece SWEENEY TODD.
