The David DuMortier Scholarship Fund

The David DuMoriter Scholarship Fund honors the legacy of David DuMoriter. David attended Missouri State University (formerly SMSU) and later transferred to The American Musical and Dramatic Academy (A.M.D.A.) in New York City. During his time in Springfield, MO, he was a passionate contributor to Springfield Little Theatre throughout the 1990s in productions such as GUYS AND DOLLS and SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN. Professionally David performed in the famed Radio City Christmas Spectacular for 7 years and did a variety of professional stage performances, including CATS, DAMN YANKEES, and CIRQUE INGENIEUX. Later, he was a makeup artist for TV shows such as SWAT, Criminal Minds, and Dance Moms, and films including BABYLON, EMANCIPATION, and most recently, the Netflix original series REBEL MOON. David’s successful career in make-up artistry and his membership in ISTE reflect his dedication to the arts. He worked from coast to coast on countless television programs and films.
This scholarship fund, established in his memory, supports students in the Springfield Little Theatre Education program by helping to offset the costs of classes in acting, voice, dance, and production design.
