We are so looking forward to working with you this season.  Please join us for an IDCO participant and parent meeting Thursday, August 10 at 5:30 p.m. in The Studio Theatre at The Judy, 237 South Florence Avenue.  Dress in bright colors and look your best.  Individual headshots will be taken upon arrival and a group photo will be taken at the conclusion of the meeting.

High School IDCO Camp will be held Monday, August 14; Wednesday, August 16; and Thursday, August 17, 4:00-6:30 p.m.

An IDCO Dance Intensive (for all company members—MS and HS) will be held Saturday, August 19 from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. and Sunday, August 20 from 1:00-5:00 p.m.

Weekly company class and rehearsals will be held on Mondays from 3:30-6:30 p.m. and Fridays from 4:00-5:50 p.m. during the school year (we align with the SPS calendar—routine Mondays and Fridays will begin August 25).

Middle School IDCO Camp will be held Tuesday, September 5; Wednesday, September 6; and Friday, September 8, 4:30-6:30 p.m.  (Middle School dancers will arrive with the HS dancers for a 4:00 p.m. start on “camp” Friday, but will be held until 6:30 p.m. instead of the regular dismissal of 5:50 p.m.)

Thank you so much to everyone who auditioned for Springfield Little Theatre’s Y.E.S. Troupe!  It was such a pleasure to watch you dance and hear each of you sing.  We are sincerely grateful to all of you for sharing your time and talent, and we applaud your participation in the audition process.  If you were not cast in this year’s ensemble, you will soon receive an e-mail with recommendations for additional training, volunteer, and performance opportunities that are available through the SLT education department.

If your name appears below, congratulations.  We are so excited to gather our 2023-2024 ensemble for a Y.E.S. Troupe participant and parent meeting to be held Monday, August 7 at 5:30 p.m. in The Reynolds Auditorium at The Judy, 237 South Florence Avenue, and for Y.E.S. Troupe camp to be held Tuesday, August 8 through Friday, August 11, 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. in the rehearsal studios of the Landers Theatre, 311 East Walnut.

For the participant and parent meeting, please dress in bright colors and look your very best.  Individual headshots will be taken upon arrival and a group photo will be taken immediately following the meeting.

For camp, please dress in cool, comfortable clothing that will not restrict your movement in any way and wear laceless jazz booties—no sock feet, flip flops, tennis shoes, or any other pedestrian footwear, please. Bring a water bottle and a sack lunch!  Our lunches will be “Lunch and Learns” so there will not be a window of time to leave the premises to purchase food.  The building will open at 8:45 a.m. each morning.

The Springfield Little Theatre Education Department is committed to offering opportunities that further the careers of emerging arts leaders through the Arts Administration Summer Internship Program. Interested High School School and College students who participate in this program will spend the summer helping with the behind-the-scenes of summer programming, completing day-to-day operational tasks, attending meetings, and engage with the community and other area art organizations, and working on their resumes, portfolios, etc., with the supervisor as their guide.

The Springfield Little Theatre Education Department expects that the intern experience will be valuable to both the intern and to the Springfield Little Theatre Education Department. The student internship aims to provide students with an opportunity to gain workplace skills and learn more about the arts administration field. Further, this provides the opportunity for Springfield Little Theatre to invest in the future of arts leadership truly.

Both high school and college students are encouraged to apply; see below for further information regarding requirements. Please note there will be no hours available from June 28 – July 8, 2023.
