Music and Lyrics by Tony Award Winner JASON ROBERT BROWN

SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI • www.MTIShows.com
It’s about one moment. It’s about hitting the wall and having to make a choice … or take a stand … or turn around and go back. These are the stories and characters of today, the SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD. The first musical from Tony Award winner, Jason Robert Brown (PARADE, BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY), this moving collection of powerful songs examines life, love and the choices that we make.
From the deck of a 1492 Spanish sailing ship to a ledge, 57 stories above Fifth Avenue, audiences meet a startling array of characters that range from a young man who has determined that basketball is his ticket out of the ghetto to a woman whose dream of marrying rich nabs her the man of her dreams … and a soulless marriage.
With a small, powerhouse cast and a driving, exquisitely crafted score that runs the gamut of today’s popular music, SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD is a great way to bring the next generation into the theatre.

FRECKLEFACE STRAWBERRY THE MUSICAL is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI • www.MTIShows.com
FRECKLEFACE STRAWBERRY THE MUSICAL, based on the beloved New York Times best-selling book by celebrated actress, Julianne Moore, is a fun and touching family musical. Specifically created for young audiences, families can step inside of the book’s pages with Freckleface and friends as they learn to “love the skin they’re in.”
Freckleface Strawberry will do anything to get rid of her freckles – from scrubbing them with soap to caking on makeup… and even wearing a ski mask to school! Will her schoolmates realize that it’s her under the mask? Will Freckleface be brave enough to finally face her complexion in the mirror? With the help of her loveable schoolmates, including an amazingly talented ballerina, a cutie jock, a charming ditz, and a totally kooky teacher, Freckleface learns that everyone is different – and that’s what makes everyone special.
Audiences will love FRECKLEFACE STRAWBERRY THE MUSICAL, with soaring music, fun choreography, and a freckle face full of laughs.
Springfield Little Theatre’s 2022-2023 Education Series is presented by POSITRONIC, an Amphenol company.
