A booster club for the Education Department, the Education Angels are the backbone of the program, volunteering their time at shows to sell flowers or work the boutique, help behind the scenes on different Education-related events and performances and a whole lot more! Mosaic Arts Collective is a non-profit organization designed to provide individuals of marginalized groups and races the opportunity for arts education, preparation and performance by engaging local resources, increasing accessibility and overall creating more diversity within the regional arts community.
Springfield Little Theatre is a nonprofit, volunteer-driven organization energized by the highest artistic ideals that strives to entertain, educate, and involve the community in live theatrical productions and in the preservation of the historic Landers Theatre.
The Springfield Little Theatre Education Department is excited to present BLANKET KID with Guest Artist Robbo in its 2022-2023 Education Series! In this high-energy musical review, we sing about the power of play, discover how to overcome new challenges, and learn how to be an excellent friend!
Placement auditions for performers ages 8 and up will be held Monday, October 10, 2022 at 7:00 PM at The Judith Enyeart Reynolds School of the Performing Arts for Springfield Little Theatre. At the auditions, participants will be taught a short movement combination, a portion of a song from the show, and will be given and asked to perform a short line reading.

The first company meeting and rehearsal will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2022 from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM. Rehearsals will be Sundays – Thursdays from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM. Not everyone will be called for every rehearsal.
Performances will be presented Friday, November 11, 2022 at 7:00 PM, Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM, and Sunday, November 13, 2022 at 2:00 PM in The Reynolds Auditorium at The Judy. A participation fee/ tuition of $125 helps to meet some of the costs of the project.

Whether it’s your first audition or your 20th, everyone can benefit from a show’s audition workshop! Learn how to choose the material that’s best for you, develop your cold reading skills, improve your vocal selections, survive a dance audition, and make your very best impression!
Participants are asked to prepare a one-minute vocal selection and bring sheet music. An accompanist will be provided. If you need help finding a selection that works for you, no worries, we can help you accomplish that at the workshop! Join us during the 2022-2023 school year for School’s Out, Play-in-a-Day workshops. These workshops provide a unique opportunity for children to undergo training in the performing arts and are a lifesaver for parents when the kids are out of school!
Children ages 5-12 are invited to participate in a full day of creative play, including theatre games, improvisation, dance, and an art project. They will also tackle a script that they will perform at the end of the day! Bring a sack lunch, a water bottle, and an awesome attitude!

Drop your kiddos off then hit the town, or treat yourselves to dinner before seeing a Springfield Little Theatre performance. Pick-up will be at 9:30 PM or immediately following the conclusion of the show if you’re in attendance. Children ages 4-12 are welcome (must be potty trained). Activities for the young-ins will include theatre games, crafts, board games, and a movie option. Pizza, snacks, and water will be provided.
